When I was young, I was amazed by popup books, or indeed any book with an interactive element. A dial to turn to reveal information, a tab to pull to make Superman lift up a car and save the day…these things rocked my world.
However, every now and then I see something that makes me look back at my time on this planet and realise the extent of the change I’ve seen. We really do live in the future.

In 1968, Van Morrison wanted to get out of his recording contract with Bang Records but he was contracted to deliver 31 remaining tracks. He knocked out all 31 in hilariously bad fashion and delivered them to Bang to fulfill his contract obligation. Here are three of them ‘Ring Worm’, ‘You Say France And I Whistle’ and ‘Want A Danish’… amazing.
